Five sessions in June. Three skill levels. Practical, hands-on, no jargon, no fluff. Just real skills you can put to work the same week you learn them.

Beginner — AI That Actually Works For You

  • Tuesday, June 2 — 1:00 to 2:30 PM
  • Tuesday, June 16 — 1:00 to 2:30 PM
  • 90 minutes — $75

Intermediate — AI in Your Workflow

  • Thursday, June 11 — 1:00 to 2:30 PM
  • Thursday, June 25 — 1:00 to 2:30 PM
  • 90 minutes — $100

Advanced — Build With AI

  • Tuesday, June 30 — 1:00 to 3:00 PM (longer session for the deeper material)
  • 2 hours — $150

Pick the level that matches where you are right now. You do not need to take all three. You do not need to start with Beginner if you already have hands-on experience. The class descriptions below will tell you exactly what fits.

Class 1 — AI That Actually Works For You

Beginner. 90 minutes. $75.

You have heard about AI. Maybe you have tried it once or twice. But you are not sure what it is actually good for, which tool to use, or how to get results that do not feel random.

This class fixes that.

In 90 minutes, you will go from uncertain to confident. We will cut through the hype, show you how AI really works, and teach you the prompting skills that separate people who get great results from people who give up after two tries. You will leave with your own custom AI assistant set up and ready to use, plus a starter kit to keep the momentum going.

What you will walk away with:

  • A clear understanding of what AI is, what it is not, and which tools do what best
  • The 5 prompting principles that unlock high-quality outputs every time
  • Hands-on experience with voice mode, image inputs, and real-world tasks
  • Your own custom Claude Project or GPT, built during class

This class is model-agnostic. Everything you learn applies across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and beyond.

Class 2 — AI in Your Workflow

Intermediate. 90 minutes. $100.

You know the basics. Now it is time to make AI actually useful inside the tools and systems you already use every day.

This class is about integration. We will show you how to connect AI to your email, your calendar, your design tools, and more. We will walk through a real business workflow from start to finish so you can see exactly how it works in practice. You will learn what an MCP server is, why it matters, and how to start building an AI stack that fits your business.

What you will walk away with:

  • A working understanding of how AI connects to real apps and tools
  • Live demos of AI inside Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Gmail, and more
  • An introduction to workflow automation and what is possible without writing code
  • A Workflow Blueprint, a personalized map of where AI fits into your business processes
  • A curated list of the best integrations by business type

Recommended: Completion of the Beginner class or equivalent hands-on experience with AI tools.

Class 3 — Build With AI

Advanced. 2 hours. $150.

This is where users become builders.

If you are ready to stop following tutorials and start creating apps, agents, automations, and tools that do exactly what you need, this class is your on-ramp. We will cover the architecture behind AI-powered systems, walk through live builds, and give you the security knowledge to do it right. By the end, you will not just understand how AI works. You will know how to put it to work at a level most people never reach.

What you will walk away with:

  • A working understanding of AI agents and how to design them
  • A live walkthrough of building your own MCP server
  • Security essentials including prompt injection, data protection, and guardrails for production use
  • An introduction to building apps and websites with AI assistance
  • A Builder’s Checklist with security checklist, agent planning template, and recommended stack by use case

Recommended: Completion of the Intermediate class or demonstrated experience with AI integrations and workflows.

Why Now

The Anthropic Claude for Small Business launch on May 4 changed what is possible for small operators in Fargo-Moorhead. A 280-megawatt AI data center is going up eight miles from downtown. NDSU is offering full-ride scholarships for AI ethics and technology starting fall 2026. Fifty-eight percent of small businesses already use generative AI daily.

The infrastructure is here. The tools are here. The talent pipeline is starting to mature. What is still missing for most local businesses is a clear, practical on-ramp.
